- ὁδηγός, οῦ, ὁ (ὁδός, ἡγέομαι; on ὁδαγός [cod. D and ApcrEzek P2, recto 7] s. B-D-F §29, 3)① one who leads the way in reaching a desired destination, guide, leader (Polyb. 5, 5, 15; Plut., Alex. 680 [27, 3]; PCairZen 770, 14 [III B.C.]; Jos., Ant. 12, 305; 1 Macc 4:2; 2 Macc 5:15; cp.
